Softball Game Preview: Buffalo Gap Bison vs. Wilson Memorial Green Hornets

The Buffalo Gap Bison will challenge the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Buffalo Gap will be strutting in after a victory while Wilson Memorial will be coming in after a loss.

Buffalo Gap's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Parry McCluer with a sharp 11-0 win. Considering the Bison have won seven matches by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Wilson Memorial fell victim to Broadway and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Gobblers, falling 6-0. The Green Hornets haven't had much luck with the Gobblers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Buffalo Gap is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Wilson Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Buffalo Gap skirted past Wilson Memorial 4-3 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
