Baseball Recap: Redding Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Redding Christian can now relate to. They came up short against the Los Molinos Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since March 22nd.

Redding Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Webb, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Webb is becoming a predictor of the Lions' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't).

With the defeat, Redding Christian broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-7. As for Los Molinos, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-6.

Redding Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Los Molinos, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Maxwell on the 24th.
