Basketball Game Preview: Holmen Vikings vs. Caledonia Warriors

The Holmen Vikings will head out to challenge the Caledonia Warriors at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Saturday, Holmen was able to grind out a solid victory over Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau, taking the game 80-68.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Caledonia). They blew past Fillmore Central, posting a 91-48 win. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Warriors with their most commanding win of the season.

Caledonia's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Holmen, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.

Holmen ended up a good deal behind Caledonia when the teams last played back in December of 2023, losing 72-57. Can Holmen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
