Basketball Game Preview: Patel Trailblazers vs. Bell Creek Academy Panthers

The Patel Trailblazers will face off against the Bell Creek Academy Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Patel has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with six straight losses, while Bell Creek Academy will come in with four straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Patel lost to Families Instructing Students HomeSchool at home by a 35-18 margin.

Despite the defeat, Patel had strong showings from Sophia Rice, who posted six points, and Xiomari Matthews, who earned six points.

Meanwhile, Bell Creek Academy beat North Tampa Christian Academy 66-53 on Wednesday.

Bell Creek Academy pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Patel, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Patel was dealt a bruising 78-26 defeat at the hands of Bell Creek Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Patel was down 54-15.
