Preview: Platte County vs. St. Mary's
St. Mary's will go up against Platte County in continuing playoff action on Saturday. Averaging 33.25 points per contest, the St. Mary's squad has been an offensive juggernaut in the playoffs, so hopefully Platte County's defense is prepared for a test.
Last week, St. Mary's had a touchdown and change to spare in a 28-17 win over Farmington. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (22) and coasted on those for the victory.
Meanwhile, Platte County earned some more postseason success in their game last Friday. They took down Grain Valley 38-21. Chris Ruhnke had a stellar game for the Pirates as he passed for 268 yards and three TDs.
