Soccer Recap: Briarwood Christian Takes a Loss

If Briarwood Christian was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Leeds two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell just short of the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

Briarwood Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-1 record this season.

Briarwood Christian wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Chelsea on the 4th. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they will welcome Pike Road at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Pike Road will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hewitt-Trussville surely won't give up without a fight.
