Basketball Game Preview: Madison Trojans vs. Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians

The Madison Trojans will be taking part in a tournament against the Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Madison has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Carlyle will arrive with six straight victories.

Madison saw some tournament action on Saturday. The contest between them and Granite City didn't end well, with Madison falling 60-45.

Meanwhile, Carlyle strolled past Okawville with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 54-40. Given the Indians/Lady Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Rockets are ranked 351st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carlyle's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
