Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Southeastern Starts Season with Victory Against Warsaw

Hamilton Southeastern had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Warsaw Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Hamilton Southeastern had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-15, 25-11, 25-17.

Maye Mcconnell had a dynamite game, getting 15 digs and four aces. What's more, she posted five assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Warsaw lost, don't look at Ellie Hepler. Despite the final result, she had 17 digs and three aces. Hepler is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.

Warsaw's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
