Baseball Recap: North Allegheny Sets Scoring Season-High Against Seneca Valley

North Allegheny came out on top against Seneca Valley on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Tigers took their matchup against the Raiders 9-6. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jackson Walsh looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, JJ Mancuso was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Miles Pealer was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

North Allegheny kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for North Allegheny and bumps their season record up to 10-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Seneca Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Allegheny will face off against rival North Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Seneca Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Butler at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Raiders 3.9, the Golden Tornado 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
