Basketball Recap: North Linn Extends Winning Streak to 19

North Linn put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the East Buchanan Buccaneers 77-45. Fans of the Lynx have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

North Linn pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 43.4 points. As for East Buchanan, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

North Linn and Maquoketa Valley will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Maquoketa Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully North Linn likes a good challenge. East Buchanan will take on Central City in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. East Buchanan is facing Central City at the right time seeing as Central City is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
