Soccer Recap: New Summerfield Drops Season-High Score on Atlanta

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Summerfield). They never let the Atlanta Rabbits onto the board and left with a 7-0 win on Monday. Considering the Hornets have won seven games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fifth in a row for New Summerfield, bringing their record for this year to 11-3-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matches. As for Atlanta, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Summerfield will challenge Carlisle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Summerfield will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last. As for Atlanta, they will square off against Gladewater at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
