Eastern's loss ends seven-game winning streak at home

Recap: Eastern Warriors vs. Fairfield Lions

It was a good run, but the Eastern Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Fairfield 56-50. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eastern in their matchups with Fairfield: they've now lost three in a row.

Fairfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Larkin Friend, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Fouch, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.

Eastern's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Fairfield, their victory was their 16th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-0.

Eastern will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Union at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairfield, they will be playing at home against Southeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Southeastern will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 611th, while Fairfield is ranked 158th).
