Football Recap: Huntington North Vikings vs. Leo Lions
After flying high against DeKalb last Friday, Huntington North came back down to earth. The Huntington North Vikings took a 34-20 bruising from the Leo Lions on Friday. The Vikings lost against the Lions in their previous head to head back in September of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 48-0 score last time.
Nathan Foster was his usual excellent self, rushing for 155 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries for Leo. Foster also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending a pass. Brock Schott was another key player, gaining 109 total yards and a touchdown.
Huntington North's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Leo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.
Huntington North and Norwell are set to duel on Friday. As for Leo, they are taking a road trip to face off against Columbia City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Leo is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
