Sheridan waltzed into their match on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Cambridge Bobcats 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Generals, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Camdyn Packer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Shawn Griffey was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was James Solomon, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Sheridan's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Cambridge, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Coming up, Sheridan will challenge Meadowbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cambridge, they will take on East Liverpool in a tournament on Tuesday.
