Basketball Game Preview: Ingraham Rams vs. Cleveland Eagles

The Ingraham Rams will face off against the Cleveland Eagles at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Ingraham and 19 for Cleveland dating back to last season.

Ingraham is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since December 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Lincoln by a score of 53-51.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 85-41, which was the final score in Cleveland's tilt against Franklin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Quakers are ranked 107th).

Cleveland's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Ingraham, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Ingraham was able to grind out a solid victory over Cleveland in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 65-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ingraham since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
