Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Zeps vs. Caldwell Redskins

There's no place like home for the Shenandoah Zeps, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Caldwell 60-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Several Redskins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carter Wheeldin, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. Wheeldin is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Dylan Schott, who scored 16 points along with three steals.

Shenandoah's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Caldwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Shenandoah will head out on the road to challenge the Cadets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Caldwell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Seminoles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Monroe Central will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
