The matchup between Highland and Quartz Hill on Thursday hardly resembled the 3-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Bulldogs skirted past the Royals 12-11. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Aubrey Reyes was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Paisley Memory, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Highland is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Quartz Hill, they moved to 17-7 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Highland will square off against Hart at 10:00 a.m. on May 3. Quartz Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
