Basketball Recap: Colonial Christian Skates Past Legacy Christian with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colonial Christian). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 68-17 victory over the Legacy Christian Grizzlies. With the Cougars ahead 36-9 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Clayton Gannon was nothing short of spectacular: he went 5 for 7 on his way to 12 points in addition to five assists and three steals. What's more, he also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ronin Young, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 11 points and three steals.

Gannon wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Colonial Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Colonial Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Legacy Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colonial Christian will host Calvary Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Legacy Christian, they will welcome Trinity Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
