Soccer Recap: Waxahachie Comes Up Short

If Waxahachie was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mesquite last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Waxahachie Indians fell 2-0 to the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Panthers and Pantherettes: they've now lost eight in a row.

Waxahachie's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Duncanville, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Waxahachie and Duncanville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Waxahachie will challenge DeSoto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 326 places (282 vs. 608). Similarly, Duncanville (ranked 99th) will meet Skyline (ranked 634th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
