Football Recap: Haskell Takes a Loss

After soaring to 40 points the game before, Haskell was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They had to suffer through a 76-7 loss at the hands of the Rejoice Christian Eagles. The Haymakers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-7.

Pj Faul threw for 52 yards on nine of 17 attempts.

Haskell dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Rejoice Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Haskell will challenge Warner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Haymakers will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Rejoice Christian, they will take on Pocola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
