Softball Recap: Wisconsin Heights Comes Up Short

The matchup between Wisconsin Heights and Belleville on Tuesday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Vanguards took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Vanguards were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 4-0.

Macy Stampfli made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Mya Luko, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Wisconsin Heights now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Belleville, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wisconsin Heights will host Lodi at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Belleville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakeside Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
