Brooks had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They snuck past the Alexandria Valley Cubs with a 41-35 win on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Leading Brooks to victory were Garrett Burrough and Sy'Marien Coffey. Burrough rushed for 208 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, while Coffey rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Burrough is now averaging an impressive 108.7 rushing yards per game. Tanner Bowens was in the mix too, providing Brooks with two touchdowns.
Brooks was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 359 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2023.
