Football Recap: San Pedro Pirates vs. El Modena Vanguards
After flying high against Bell last Friday, San Pedro came back down to earth. The Pirates came up short against the El Modena Vanguards on Thursday, falling 34-14. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Although San Pedro took the loss, they still got scores from Elias Redlew and Jaxon Brown.
El Modena's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Sorenson, who threw for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 67 yards on only eight carries. As for El Modena, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Trabuco Hills at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
