Volleyball Game Preview: Lakeside Knights vs. Osborne Bulldogs

The Lakeside Knights will square off against the Osborne Bulldogs on Saturday. Osborne took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lakeside, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Lakeside beat Natoma 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lakeside was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Osborne unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Hill City by a score of 2-1. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Ringnecks since Tuesday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Osborne sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-18, 20-25, 25-20.

Osborne's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Lakeside, their win bumped their record up to 11-13.

Lakeside came up short against Osborne in their previous meeting last Saturday, falling 2-0. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
