Softball Recap: Covington Comes Up Short

Covington was the 16-2 winner over Tri-Village when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Covington came up short against Tri-Village on Saturday, falling 15-3. The contest marked the Buccs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Covington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elizabeth Coblentz, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most doubles Coblentz has posted since back in April of 2024.

Covington's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Tri-Village, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Coincidentally, Covington and Tri-Village will both be playing Northmont the next time they take the field. Covington will head out to face Northmont at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while Tri-Village will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
