Football Recap: Lithia Springs Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lithia Springs had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-8 to make it five. They had to suffer through a 40-8 loss at the hands of the New Manchester Jaguar. The Leo Lion were not able to make up for their defeat to the Jaguar from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

As for New Manchester, their record now sits at 8-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

New Manchester's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Delancy Alexander, who threw for 208 yards and one TD while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground. What's more, Alexander racked up 143.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August. Jakobe DeJesus also helped out with an impressive 136 receiving yards.

Lithia Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Manchester, after each having a week off, they and Newnan will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on the 14th. The Jaguar will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.
