Basketball Game Preview: Eagle River Wolves vs. South Anchorage Wolverines

Eagle River is 0-10 against South Anchorage since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Eagle River Wolves will venture away from home to take on the South Anchorage Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Eagle River is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Soldotna on Saturday. Eagle River took a hard 46-29 fall against Soldotna. The Wolves just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, South Anchorage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 40-32 to Chugiak.

South Anchorage's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Eagle River, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Eagle River came up short against South Anchorage in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 39-29. Can Eagle River avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
