The Cosby Titans are taking a road trip to challenge the Clover Hill Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cosby is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
On Monday, Cosby needed a bit of extra time to put away Deep Run. They had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 5-4. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by just one run.

Kam Brown made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aislin Bossler, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Abigail Grimsley also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, Clover Hill gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over Monacan. Considering the Cavaliers have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Cosby, Clover Hill also got a great game from a two-way player: Brianna Miller. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Miller was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Paige Marshall and Alejandra Wittman did most of the damage at the plate: Marshall went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Wittman went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Madison Hayes was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
Clover Hill lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Cosby pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Clover Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Cosby took their win against Clover Hill in their previous meeting last Monday by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
