Baseball Recap: Shenandoah Comes Up Short

Shenandoah extended their losing streak to six on Saturday, dropping them down to 7-11. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop Rosecrans Bishops. The Zeps were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bishops apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Shenandoah saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Brown, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

As for Bishop Rosecrans, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since May 15, 2025.

On Bishop Rosecrans' side, the team relied heavily on Coen Grandstaff, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Perdue, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shenandoah will head out to square off against Marietta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Rosecrans, they will face off against Harvest Prep at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
