Baseball Recap: Foothill Finds Home Field Redemption Against Pacifica

There's no place like home for Foothill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Pacifica Mariners 3-2.

Kyle Telson tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ezekiel Vargas, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Foothill now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pacifica, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Foothill will be playing in front of their home fans against San Juan Hills at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pacifica, they will face off against Downey at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Pacifica has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
