Basketball Recap: Bergenfield Takes a Loss

Bergenfield lost to Pascack Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears took a hard 56-41 fall against the Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Panthers are ranked 88th).

Bergenfield has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Pascack Valley, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bergenfield will square off against rival Tenafly at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pascack Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe NV - Demarest at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
