Football Recap: Banning Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Banning gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Notre Dame Titans, posting a 68-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Broncos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Banning to victory, but perhaps none more so than JACOB ANZALDUA, who threw for 320 yards and five TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt. ANZALDUA is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. DEQUINN LOVINGS was in the mix too, providing Banning with three touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Banning proved: they limited Notre Dame to a paltry 1.6 yards per carry. The Broncos didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.2.

Banning didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 28-20 loss against Redlands on the 28th. As for Notre Dame, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Western Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
