Football Game Preview: North Branch Broncos vs. Almont Raiders

The North Branch Broncos will square off against the Almont Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Branch has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while Almont will come in with seven straight victories.

On Friday, North Branch lost to Armada at home by a 31-14 margin.

Despite the defeat, North Branch got top-tier performance from Micheal Gorman, who rushed for 86 yards and two TDs on only nine carries.

Meanwhile, Almont won against Armada last Friday with 35 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Raiders beat Richmond by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 35-14. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won four contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Almont's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for North Branch, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

North Branch might still be hurting after the 35-14 defeat they got from Almont in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Broncos, Luke Winkler (who rushed for 158 yards and three scores on only eight carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
