Basketball Recap: Wilmer-Hutchins Takes a Loss

Wilmer-Hutchins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Roosevelt Mustangs, falling 77-29. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Wilmer-Hutchins still got an impressive performance from Antonio Mcmillon, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, Mcmillon is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Dezmond Williams, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Roosevelt's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Darius Washington, who dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 11 assists, and ten steals. The dominant performance gave Washington a new career-high in steals. Tyrique Swindle was another key player, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards.

Wilmer-Hutchins' defeat dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Roosevelt, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season.
