Recap: West Aurora Blackhawks vs. Minooka Indians
After losing to the Minooka Indians the last time they met, the West Aurora Blackhawks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. West Aurora snuck past Minooka with a 56-52 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for West Aurora.
Among those leading the charge was Brooklynn Johnson, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Syncere Williams, who scored ten points.
West Aurora's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11. As for Minooka, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
West Aurora won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Plainfield Central at 5:00 p.m. on January 17th. Plainfield Central is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Minooka, they will head out on the road to take on Plainfield South at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Plainfield South is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.3 points per game.
