Baseball Recap: Westfall Falls Short of Unioto in the Playoffs

Westfall and Unioto squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Westfall had to settle for second. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shermans. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Shermans: they've now lost nine in a row.

Westfall saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Wright, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Westfall's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Unioto, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Westfall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Unioto, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against London on the 3rd.
