Basketball Recap: Worthington Takes a Loss

Worthington won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They had to suffer through a 76-37 loss at the hands of the Marshall Tigers. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Worthington now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Marshall, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Worthington will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Redwood Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Redwood Valley will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Worthington surely won't give up without a fight. Marshall and Hutchinson will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
