Volleyball Recap: Durand-Arkansaw's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Durand-Arkansaw can now relate to. They fell just short of the Unity Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Durand-Arkansaw took Unity into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 19-25, 23-25, 15-6.

Despite the loss, Durand-Arkansaw still got an impressive performance from Olivia Mueller, who had 37 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Chloie Gundersen, who had eight digs and two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Katelyn Kahler, who had 14 digs and two aces. Those 14 digs gave her a new career-high.

Durand-Arkansaw's defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 17-14. As for Unity, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 25-13.

Durand-Arkansaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Unity, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Bloomer on the 25th.
