Softball Recap: Rhinelander Comes Up Short

Rhinelander fell victim to Lakeland and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 1-0. The Hodags haven't had much luck with the Thunderbirds recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Rhinelander's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lakeland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rhinelander will venture away from home to square off against Crandon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakeland, they will square off against D.C. Everest at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
