Basketball Recap: Penns Manor Comes Up Short

Penns Manor lost against Marion Center back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Penns Manor Comets came up short against the Marion Center Stingers, falling 65-41. The Comets were down 44-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marion Center to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Mccoy, who went 9 for 17 on his way to 23 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Pack, who posted eight points in addition to eight assists and eight steals.

Penns Manor now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Marion Center, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Penns Manor won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Harmony Area at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Marion Center will take on Purchase Line in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Marion Center is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.
