Soccer Recap: Morro Bay Takes a Loss

After flying high against Orcutt Academy last Friday, Morro Bay came back down to earth. The Morro Bay Pirates lost 3-0 to the Cabrillo Conquistadores on Tuesday. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Conquistadores earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

Morro Bay's loss dropped their record down to 6-11-1. As for Cabrillo, they pushed their record up to 7-15-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Morro Bay will take on Nipomo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nipomo knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Morro Bay likes a good challenge. As for Cabrillo, they will face off against Orcutt Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Cabrillo is facing Orcutt Academy at the right time seeing as Orcutt Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
