Softball Recap: Iroquois West Comes Up Short

If Iroquois West was feeling good fresh off their 15-2 takedown of Chrisman last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders came up short against the LeRoy Panthers on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The Raiders have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Iroquois West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Bork, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Bork hit this season.

Iroquois West's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for LeRoy, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Iroquois West will venture away from home to square off against Gardner-South Wilmington at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for LeRoy, they will head out to take on Fieldcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
