On Monday, everything went Mountain Crest's way against Green Canyon as Mountain Crest made off with an 8-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won seven in a row.

Kayden Cullimore made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Ethan Nielsen and Mason Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Nielsen scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances, while Smith scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Smith has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jace Jorgensen, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Green Canyon is on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8. As for Mountain Crest, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
