Basketball Recap: Hume-Fogg Takes a Loss

If Hume-Fogg was riding high fresh off their 63-17 takedown of Glencliff last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hume-Fogg Blue Knights were dealt a 58-28 loss at the hands of the Valor College Prep Wildcats on Tuesday. The Blue Knights have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Hume-Fogg's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-8. As for Valor College Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hume-Fogg will challenge Maplewood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Valor College Prep, they will square off against Glencliff at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Valor College Prep's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Glencliff has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
