Basketball Game Preview: Farmington Tigers vs. Eastview Lightning

The Farmington Tigers will head out to take on the Eastview Lightning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Monday, Farmington came up short against Rosemount and fell 79-69. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (55), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Eastview came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past the Panthers with a 61-55 victory.

Farmington has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Eastview, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Farmington ended up a good deal behind Eastview when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 75-59. Can Farmington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
