Baseball Recap: Nauset Regional Comes Up Short

Nauset Regional managed to slip by Dennis-Yarmouth Regional the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors came up short against the Dolphins on Friday, falling 8-1. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dolphins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Nauset Regional now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nauset Regional will host St. John Paul II at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 11 runs per game this season. As for Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, they will challenge Mashpee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Dolphins 3.6, the Falcons 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
