Recap: Manokotak Lynx vs. Bristol Bay Angels
Even though the Manokotak Lynx have not done well against the Bristol Bay Angels recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Manokotak managed a 44-38 victory over Bristol Bay. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Manokotak.
Despite the defeat, Bristol Bay saw an underclassman step up: Olivia Harvilla scored 15 points. That was a full 39.5% of Bristol Bay's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katlynn Torino, who scored nine points.
Manokotak's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bristol Bay, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Newhalen the next time they take the court. Bristol Bay will host Newhalen at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, while Manokotak will head out to face them at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
