Football Game Preview: Glendale Vikings vs. Northern Bedford County Panthers + How To Watch

Glendale hasn't had much luck against Northern Bedford County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vikings will host the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Glendale is coming into the contest on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They strolled past Curwensville with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 34-20. The Vikings pushed the score to 27-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Golden Tide cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glendale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tanner Ammerman, who rushed for 131 yards and one TD on only 15 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Dreibelbis, who picked up 122 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northern Bedford County). They came out on top against Windber by a score of 28-21 on Friday.

Northern Bedford County's win came from a few key players Glendale will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ben Clark, who rushed for 210 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Those 210 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Trace Baker was another key player, rushing for 53 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Northern Bedford County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 268 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Northern Bedford County's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Glendale, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Glendale was taken down by Northern Bedford County 34-7 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Vikings, Vaughn Schleinkofer (who threw for 182 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score) won't be suiting up this time.
