Soccer Game Preview: Treutlen vs. Montgomery County

The Treutlen Vikings will face off against the Montgomery County Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Treutlen will be strutting in after a victory while Montgomery County will be coming in after a loss.

Treutlen took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Johnson County a 4-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Vikings were the better team in the second half.

They hit Johnson County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Natalie Meeks (2), Jayden Rogers, and Camdyn Brantley.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Montgomery County was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They came up short against Swainsboro, falling 6-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Eagles were already down 3-0.

Treutlen picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-7. As for Montgomery County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
