Football Recap: Richland Beats Bellwood-Antis for Their Eighth Straight Victory + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Richland walked away with it. They blew past the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils 35-13 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won eight matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

Richland found their leader in sophomore Jacob Regan, who threw for 205 yards and three TDs on only 18 passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Arnold Mugerwa was Regan's top target, picking up 68 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Alex McCartney and Chase Plummer certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. McCartney rushed for 100 yards and one score, while Plummer rushed for 76 yards. McCartney didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made three total tackles.

The win was the eighth in a row for Richland, bringing their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.6 points over those games. As for Bellwood-Antis, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Richland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-7 win against Bishop McCort on the 15th. Bellwood-Antis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
